A rapidly growing Norwegian professional services consultancy is seeking a Senior Manager to join its CFO Services Financial Reporting team in Oslo. The business supports clients by providing specialist Finance expertise and additional capacity through project-based and longer-term consulting assignments.

Position

The Senior Manager will be one of the consultancy’s technical specialists in IFRS and Group Accounting, working closely with clients while helping develop Financial Reporting as a specialist capability within the business.

The role combines client delivery, technical leadership and team development. Key areas of responsibility include:

  • IFRS and Group Accounting
  • Financial Reporting and consolidation
  • Complex Accounting and reporting matters
  • Process improvement and problem-solving
  • Client-facing consulting assignments
  • Developing the team’s technical Financial Reporting capability
  • Building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders

Candidate Requirements

The consultancy is interested in candidates with at least 10 years’ relevant experience gained within Audit, Group Accounting, Financial Reporting, Accounting leadership or a comparable position. The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:

  • Relevant higher education in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • Qualification as a Statsautorisert Revisor is advantageous
  • Strong IFRS and/or Group Accounting expertise
  • Hands-on consolidation experience is highly desirable
  • Experience as an Auditor, Group Accounting Manager, Head of Accounting or in a comparable senior position
  • A strong understanding of client-facing consulting
  • A structured and analytical approach
  • Initiative, ownership and the ability to drive complex processes forward
  • Strong relationship-building and senior stakeholder-management skills
  • An interest in developing colleagues and strengthening a specialist Financial Reporting capability
