A rapidly growing Norwegian professional services consultancy is seeking a Manager to join its CFO Services Financial Reporting team in Oslo. The business supports clients by providing specialist Finance expertise and additional capacity through project-based and longer-term consulting assignments.

Position

The Manager will work closely with clients as an integrated member of their Finance teams, helping solve Accounting and Financial Reporting challenges while improving processes and creating lasting value.

Assignments may involve supporting or fulfilling responsibilities across Financial Reporting, Accounting, Financial Control, Group Accounting and broader Finance operations. Key areas include:

  • Accounting and Financial Reporting
  • Financial Controlling and operational Finance support
  • Process improvement and problem-solving
  • Client-facing consulting assignments
  • Supporting Finance teams with specialist expertise and capacity
  • Building strong and trusted client relationships

Candidate Requirements

The consultancy is interested in candidates with approximately 5–10 years’ relevant experience gained within Audit, Financial Controlling, Accounting or a comparable Finance position. The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:

  • Relevant higher education in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • Qualification as a Statsautorisert Revisor is advantageous
  • Strong Accounting and Financial Reporting expertise
  • An interest in moving from Audit into a more operational and advisory environment
  • A good understanding of—or clear aptitude for—the consulting role
  • Experience with Accounting systems is advantageous
  • A structured and analytical approach
  • Initiative, ownership and the ability to drive processes forward
  • Strong relationship-building and client-facing communication skills
